Final Exam

1. Complete

2. Complete

3. Complete

4. The one single photograph that I took that changed my entire view on photography is the following photograph which I took during the first month of the school year.
This Photograph changed my entire view on photography because it is the very first photograph where I was able to capture depth accurately. The accomplishment of capturing depth was a surreal feeling and made me appreciate what photographers in the field do in order to create a great picture. Though this is not a great picture by any means, it gave me the passion to continue to try to create great photographs.

5. In photography, shape and form are two completely different, but oddly related concepts. Shape refers to the concrete physical shape of the subject or other aspects of the picture, such as a basketball being spherical. Form on the other hand, does not refer to only the physical aspect of the objects in the photograph, form also refers to the role the subject of the photograph plays in the photograph itself.

6. The difference between pattern, and repetition, is that pattern refers to a noticeable reccurrance in a photograph, where this constantly repeating aspect of the photograph creates a certain design or pleasurable viewing phenomena. Repetition on the other hand, is the repeating aspect of the photograph that involves the exact same aspect of the photograph being constantly repeated, and this does not always create a larger pleasurable viewing phenomena.

I believe that out of these three projects, that my Multicultural Week Story Project is my best project. There are a multitude of reasons as to why I believe this, but the main reason is that this project shows the human side of photography. I believe that the point of photography is to tell stories through pictures, and no one can tell stories better than people themselves. The pictures that I took during the week of festivities shows the human side and the vulnerable side to the people we see every day, and those we don't see as often. These individuals have their own stories, and they combine to create one big story, and I am extremely proud that I was given the honor to capture these photographs of individuals who play a large role in our community, especially during a week of diversity and acceptance.

Story with a Photo - Buying My Friend Food

On Wednesday of Multicultural week, I bought my friend, Abbas, food, as he did not have enough money to buy his own food. Out of an act of kindness I bought him food, and a day later, he payed me back by buying me food as well.
